Hello, I’m Sophie.
I’ve been a creative in advertising for over 15 years, which means I’ve drunk a lot of coffee and had a lot of opinions about fonts.
I studied Literature at Oxford and Fine Art & Photography in Paris, which is just a fancy way of saying I’ve always loved words and pictures. Advertising turned out to be the perfect way to use both.
I later studied Art Direction & Copywriting at Watford under the brilliant Tony Cullingham, who drilled into us the importance of getting the ‘big idea’ right first, then the rest will follow.
Since then I’ve been lucky enough to work at some of London’s top agencies, including VCCP and adam&eveDDB, where I spent over 10 years making work with some very talented people.
One piece of advice I’ve always held onto is something Bill Bernbach once said about hiring creatives: “be nice to work with” and “do good work.”
If you’re looking for a hybrid creative who tries to do both, get in touch.
